Her project Love, Kain released in (2012) is still considered a work of art though she continues to find her voice and assert herself in the Toronto music scene. To date, Kain has opened up for QuestLove of the Grammy Award winning band, The Roots. She has also landed a voice placement on the record ‘Thirsty’ by Canadian rapper and OVO Sound signee PARTYNEXTDOOR (PND).
In 2015, Kain released Island In My Mind which is often described as a safe haven. In other words, it is a body of work that allows one to retreat to a place free of hardship.
At the top of 2016, Kain dropped her three song EP Reverse Psychology. This project in particular is a 360 experiment that showcases her newly developed and beautifully refined sound.
The FADER called Kain’s new single Kainthem (produced by Monte Booker of Soulection) “a song of a champion who wins the battle she thought she might lose.”
That said, she is not interested in playing it safe because nothing good ever came from comfort zones.
