After premiering her hit single ‘Higher’ at her hometown’s annual art festival, the chatter of her nostalgic sound remains unsettled. Kain’s monumental project, Love, Kain (2012), ignited her spark as a musician and carved out a lane in her city’s music scene. Three years later she won over the hearts of listeners with the release of Island In My Mind (2015), a body of work she describes as her “Safe Haven.” At the top of 2016, Kain released her highly anticipated EP Reverse Psychology and FADER Magazine called Kain’s lead single, ‘Kainthem’ ( produced by Monte Booker of Soulection ) “a song of a champion who wins the battle she thought she might lose.”
That said, Kain is a survivor in every sense of the word.
To date, Adria Kain has performed on almost every stage in the city of Toronto, and has landed opening up for Quest Love of the Grammy Award winning band The Roots, as well as Platinum recording artist BJ The Chicago Kid. She has also opened for Miguel, Rapsody & has collaborated with Toronto's up incomer Sean Leon, performing alongside him and Daniel Ceasar at MOD CLUB this past summer. She has also landed a voice placement on the record ‘Thirsty’ by Canadian rapper and OVO Sound signee PARTYNEXTDOOR.
