Henrik Widegren is a physician and started writing geeky songs about medicine, diseases and healthcare when asked to perform at a hospital after work in 2012. He soon got a deal with Sjukhusläkaren, one of Swedens major doctor websites, to produce medical music videos. After this he has toured around Sweden and become well known among doctors and nurses in Sweden as a songwriter, entertainer and artist in the field of medicine and healthcare.
The lyrics are about symptom googling, bold surgeons, vampire nurses, internships and statistically significant love. The musical genres stretches from singer-songwriter and indie pop to rock, classical and jazz. All albums are recorded and produced by Markus Nilsson and Tobias Ekqvist in Sunnanå Studio outside Malmö.
April 15th he will release his first album in English, Medical Melodies And Surgical Songs. He is also planning to release a fifth studio album with songs in Swedish, in the fall of 2019.
