In February of 2018, the group took to Sioux Sioux Studios in Charlotte, NC, worksite of legendary artists and producers such as Taking Back Sunday and Mike Sapone. With producer Jason Scavone at the helm, Never Home painstakingly crafted their self-titled debut EP. Melodic, aggressive, and honest, these songs channeled the youthful spirit of pop-punk, while adding a unique emphasis on storytelling and sentiment. This EP made waves within the North Carolina music community and beyond; lead single “State Line” was described by Alternative Press as a “classic anthem.” The success of this album propelled them to open for such notable acts as Stand Atlantic, John Nolan (Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run), and Trash Boat.
In the Winter of 2018, the band began writing the follow-up to their acclaimed debut. Their upcoming lead single, “Landslide,” showcases a new side of the band and displays where their sound is heading. Retaining all of the emotion but polishing the rough edges, “Landslide” is a more mature take on the sound established on Never Home’s debut EP.
The long-awaited new single debuts August 23rd.
