A melodically and emotionally charged post-hardcore outfit based out of New Jersey, Youth in Revolt were founded in 2012.
Employing a nervy blend of punk-pop and screamo that invokes names like Asking Alexandria, Sleeping with Sirens, and Memphis May Fire, the band issued a debut single, a cover of Ke$ha's "Die Young," shortly after forming. In 2014 they released an EP, Love Is a Liar's Game, and were featured on Fearless Records' Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6 compilation. A handful of singles followed, but multiple lineup changes resulted in a period of inactivity for the group that ended in 2016 with the announcement of a new lineup (Alex Ramos, Kenny Torres, Tanner Allen, Christian Coletti, and Arvin Sarathy) and a full-length album on the way. The resulting Broken was released via Cooking Vinyl in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
