    In My Head
samū was created one late autumn evening in 2014 by Norwegian musicians Trine Hansen and Sander Eriksen Nordahl.
They were sitting in Trines old, charming appartement in Oslo rediscovering their childhood music and feeling nostalgic, when suddenly an urge to go back to their musical roots and write classic pop music emerged. They mixed their influences and made some simple song sketches, then contacted some of their musical friends. Since then samū has created a vast library of strong pop songs and performed, among other places, at Parkteateret (2017), KlubbØya (2018) and Trondheim Calling (2019).
samū draw the bulk of their influences from the 20th century, with samples spanning a 40 year spectrum from the ’60s folk of Simon & Garfunkel, the ’70s soft rock of Fleetwood Mac, the ’80s synth-pop of Kate Bush and the ’90s experimentalism of Björk. All washed down with that easy-evening, ‘Waterloo Sunset’, laid-back chill of The Kinks. samū released two singels in 2016, both recommended by NRK P3 Urørt.
