    I Gotta Move
Music that grabs you, by three men with excellent chemistry. Raw vocals, bluesy riffs and a solid backline make this band from Utrecht (The Netherlands) a must see live.
With hints to The Black Keys and roots in blues, soul and underground hiphop they present their third album ROBOT in september 2017. ROBOT is produced by Simon Akkermans (a.o. Mister & Mississippi, Jungle By Night en Bombay) and recorded at Kytopia/Epic Rainbow Unicorn Studio. Dutch tv show ‘Vrije geluiden’ visited My Blue Van in the studio during the recordings. From melancholic to raw outliers or uptempo songs like the album’s first single ‘I gotta move’-the recognizable sound of the band with mesmerizing vocals of Bas Beenackers took a flight.
Previous albums of My Blue Van are As Colours Change (2013) and Hush (2015). After there second release My Blue Van left the city for a barn in the countryside just outside of Utrecht to escape everyday’s hectic life. Surrounded by sheep, windmills and fruit trees they wrote their third album ROBOT. Although ROBOT features a more accessible, divers and produced sound, the authenticity and overall rawness stays well preserved, promising My Blue Van and their growing following a bright future.
