Taking inspiration from the likes of Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, Just A Ride's hard-hitting riffs, powerful beats and melodic hooks revive the spirit of the 90s grunge scene with a modern twist.
The band was initially formed by Rodney and Drew 10 years after they briefly played together in teenage punk/metal outfit Violent Delight. What started out as a plunge into writing music again for Rodney and an outlet for Drew to write the music closest to his heart while performing as lead guitarist with UK rock chart-toppers Inglorious; it was soon clear that Just A Ride would become a band in its own right.
The pair were soon joined by UK Foo Fighters drummer Alex Bailey and bassist Eddie Hoffmann. With the lineup complete the band soon took to the studio, recording sessions with Wildhearts producer Dave Draper and at Outhouse Studios with John Mitchell.
After recording the video for their debut single "I Wanna Know" sadly Eddie needed to go back to his native Brazil, but help was actually ready and waiting on the set of that shoot! The lineup was completed by the video's director and former Earthtone 9 bassist Russ Stedman.
While their debut single was lighting up UK rock radio, Just A Ride returned to the studio. Reunited with producer Dave Draper they completed recording of their debut album, due for release in 2021.
