A truly new rap sound comes to Sweden by NEWYON, a *Swedish* rap artist, beatmaker, guitarist and pianist no less. His lyrics cover a range of personal, political yet philosophical topics and questions. The key thing for NEWYON is first and foremost, to find a fresh way to express himself through each and every song and make the audience feel surprised, challenged and impressed.
While NEWYON is his artist name, there is ironically quite a similarity between his family name and the scientist’s one.
NEWYON has discovered his passion for music writing early on when he was just 15. Amongst his idols and inspirational muses are reggae and hip hop sounds and rhymes by Eminem and the unique Boom Bap music genre.
Newyon is starting out as a performer, his most recent official performance has been featured on the DJ trio BROHUG.
