„Emma Elisabeth is here to prove that pop doesn't have to sound like a jukebox musical- and that's a good thing” – Earmilk.
The swedish singer/songwriter and producer is currently based in Berlin and released a slew of singles during leading up to her album Melancholic Milkshake released in 2019. Her guitar driven pop is wild yet controlled, contemplative yet loud and elegantly messed up - inspired by legends like Patti Smith and Dolly Parton. Classic style songwriting gets elegantly wrapped in an organic sound of jangly guitars, detuned 80's synthesizers and stacked 70's vocal harmonies - A bittersweet yet uplifting nod towards golden pop á la Fleetwood Mac. Live she's supported bands like Sunflower Bean, The Japanese House and L.A. Witch and was an official showcasing artist at SXSW 2018 and 2019. While producing the songs herself in true DIY manners, she's got some first-class collaborators on board such as Earl Harvin on drums, Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, PJ Harvey) for mixing and worked with e.g. Petter Ericson Stakee (Alberta Cross) and Nick McCarthy (ex Franz Ferdinand) on a few songs. Her 6 track EP ”We Gotta Talk” was released in spring 2017, produced by Victor Van Vugt. "Unfurling with a gentle jangle, the crisp, spring-fresh songwriting can't fail to get under your skin” wrote Clash Magazine.
