Swedish singer/songwriter, record company owner and producer. His first album Hej Hörrudu was released in 1972 when he was 20 years old.
With help from fellow musician Bengt von Andreae and friends the album got some attention. 1974-1977 he worked as a professional artist performing locally and at coffee houses and clubs all over Sweden. A second single, Mitt Livs Tragedi, followed a minor hit with the single Hem till Söder. In 1981 a second album, När Blir Det Min Tur, was released just before the label went bankrupt.
With drummer Eddie Svavarsson he started the label Joker in 1984. The first release was the single Äventyret with Elfte Timmen. The following years until 1995 Joker released albums with for example In The Colonnades, All Steel Coaches and the cd-compilation Nordic Sounds, volume 2 with 18 Swedish acts.
With the release of the compilation Hem till Söder in 2009, Janne founded the label Lingostal. The cd contains eight new and ten of his most popular songs. All previous releases on Joker were digitally released.
In January 2013 the producers of a Swedish tv-show used the song Hem till Söder as a vignette. After six seasons it became a hit with over one million streams.
The Swedish group Weeping Willows invited him in 2015 to appear on three gigs. With their help he recorded seven new songs that 2016 resulted in the album Vi Kommer Från Söder. The work continued with eleven new songs that was released as the album Det Brinner En Eld in October 2017.
