Torre Hornero Sessions is the debut EP from the group Petrelli (www.petrelliband.com). Founder members Eduardo Tomás, Zomas (drums) and Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez, Prise (guitar), underpin the band’s sound and musical projects. Their weekly rehearsal venue in Movera, Zaragoza, inspires the title for the new EP. Different musicians have participated with the band, joining in sessions and exploring new sounds. Among their previous projects, Petrelli have recorded instrumental themes to accompany an award-winning museum exhibition in the UK, but for this long-awaited record the band teams up with Guillermo Mata (bass and production) and Eric Castiglia (vocals).
Recording of the Torre Hornero Sessions was completed at the beginning of 2020, then mixed during the pandemic and lockdown using video-conferencing and new technologies. Petrelli’s new album includes four songs with clear influences from American rock and even hard rock. These classic sounds are re-imagined here to create a fresh new feel.
