Gothminister is a Norwegian industrial metal project based around the music and macabre imagery of Oslo musician Bjørn Alexander Brem.
Formed in 1999, the initial lineup of Gothminister released a handful of singles before debuting with the full-length Gothic Electronic Anthems in 2003. Over the next decade, Brem built the band into a successful act, touring and playing festivals across Europe and releasing three more albums, including 2005's Empire of Dark Salvation, 2008's Happiness in Darkness, 2011's Anima Inferna, and 2013's Utopia, the latter of which found chart success in Norway and Germany. Brem's sound weaves together electronic elements, hard industrial metal, gothic themes, and an undercurrent of black humor. In 2017, Gothminister returned with their sixth album, The Other Side, which explored various supernatural themes. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
