Beginning his public foray into music by posting his covers of other artists' songs on social media, pop singer Austin Brown eventually transitioned into the spotlight with his own material when he was just 16 years old.
After two years spent growing a social media following in the hundreds of thousands, Brown was already something of a star when he released his first single in 2018.
Brown was born in Bend, Oregon in 2002. He began singing at age seven and by his teenage years he was using social media platforms to post videos of himself playing ukulele and singing, sometimes covering songs by Flume, Juice WRLD, and others. In 2018 he relocated to Los Angeles to focus on acting, but his music clips seemed to resonate more with his audience, so he chose to put more energy into recording original songs and pursuing a music career. In late 2018 his first single and video for his song "In Betweenin'" was released. He followed it up just months later with second single "Mean." ~ Fred Thomas
