Representing Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Tekomin "TEK" Williams burst onto the hip-hop scene in 1993 on Black Moon's Enta Da Stage album.
Blending Jamaican Patois at times with his laid back, gritty flow, TEK embodies the signature Brooklyn sound. As one-half of the groundbreaking duo, Smif-N-Wessun, TEK has cemented himself as a hip-hop icon.
To date, TEK has released 5 albums and 1 EP as part of Smif-N-Wessun, 4 albums as part of the Boot Camp Clik, and 1 album and 1 EP as a solo artist. Smif-N-Wessun's first single, Bucktown was released in 1994 and was a Billboard Hot 100 hit. The duo's critically acclaimed debut album, Dah Shinin', was released in 1995, charted in the Billboard Top 200 and would go on to sell more than 300,000 copies. Smif-N-Wessun's latest album, The All, is considered one of the best hip-hop albums from 2019.
