Representing Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Tekomin "TEK" Williams burst onto the hip-hop scene in 1993 on Black Moon's Enta Da Stage album. Blending Jamaican Patois at times with his laid back, gritty flow, TEK embodies the signature Brooklyn sound. As one-half of the groundbreaking duo, Smif-N-Wessun, TEK has cemented himself as a hip-hop icon. To date, TEK has released 5 albums and 1 EP as part of Smif-N-Wessun, 4 albums as part of the Boot Camp Clik, and 1 album and 1 EP as a solo artist. Smif-N-Wessun's first single, Bucktown was released in 1994 and was a Billboard Hot 100 hit. The duo's critically acclaimed debut album, Dah Shinin', was released in 1995, charted in the Billboard Top 200 and would go on to sell more than 300,000 copies. Smif-N-Wessun's latest album, The All, is considered one of the best hip-hop albums from 2019. As a solo artist, TEK released 24kt Smoke in August, 2010. The album featured production from Statik Selektah, and Drawzilla. Guests on the album included Sheek Louch, Havoc of Mobb Deep, Inspectah Deck, and Steele. In 2020, TEK released the PANDEMIC EP. With a career that has spanned four decades, TEK came up in hip-hop's golden era with artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Nas and JAY-Z, and has amassed a worldwide following. As part of Smif-N-Wessun he has collaborated with fellow hip-hop and R&B legends like 2PacMary J. Blige, Aaliyah, Wyclef Jean, Bounty Killer, Raekwon, Rick Ross, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Fat Joe, Talib Kweli, and Sean Price.
