With the city getting rougher and trouble lurking around every corner, the pressure of survival weighed on Jaek. After the murder of his uncle, DeLarge threw himself into music and began studying the craft feverishly. By the time he was 15, he'd already written and recorded over a hundred demo songs. With his friend and producer Freddy 'Freeway' Brobbey - he'd developed a sound and they set their sites on the major leagues, taking the name of their high school clique, 'JOB'- short for Just Over Brilliant - along with them.
He'd release his first professional body of work, the 'Love Songs' EP in 2010. Followed up by his 'One Night Stand' &'Break of Dawn' LP's - all to great reviews. After tragedy struck again in his personal life, Jaek withdrew from the public and began working on bettering himself and hisrelationships. He found himself working behind the scenes more to pass the time and developed a whole new appreciation for music and the music business.
Jaek has since been crowned the 'Rap City Freestyle Champion', made numerous appearances on television, garnered radio play, and graced stages in and out of his hometown, Toronto. After a brief hiatus, Jaek has found his way back into the studio with a fierce determination for not just himself, but his entire community to be heard. He maintains that this is still only the beginning.
