Swedish singer/songwriter Ida Redig began her career as a largely acoustic performer before moving to more electronic, danceable fare with her second album, Thou Shall Not Be a Pussy.
After studying music at college in Gothenburg, Redig released her introspective debut album, Standing Here, in 2010. Seeking a change in her style, she spent the next couple of years writing different kinds of songs, then began collaborating with Melody Club's Kristofer Östergren. The pair's edgy dance-pop stylings earned Redig a deal with Sofo Records, which issued the singles Shout and Show Me Now before the arrival of Thou Shall Not be a Pussy in 2014. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
