Desire, an electronic pop music trio formed in Montreal in 2009, is part of the influential record label Italians Do It Better.
The band consists of singer Megan Louise and multi-instrumentalists Johnny Jewel and Nat Walker, both of whom are also members of fellow Italians Do It Better groups such as Chromatics, Symmetry, and Glass Candy.
Desire gained worldwide exposure with their hit song “Under Your Spell,” which was featured prominently in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 film, Drive. The trio released their debut album Desire in June 2009, featuring organic-analogue-blended synthpop and disco cuts sung in both French and English.
II made many critics' "Best of 2009" lists, including FACT magazine’s Top 20 albums of the year. "Under Your Spell" has been featured in many fashion shows and events, including Christian Dior’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2012.
In 2013, Desire’s “Tears From Heaven” was featured on the popular Italians Do It Better compilation After Dark 2.
Most recently, Desire's song “Saturday” was featured on Johnny Jewel’s album Windswept, with Chromatics performing an instrumental cover of the song on Episode 12 of Twin Peaks (Limited Event Series Soundtrack).
