Since the May 2017 release of his full-length album Hôtel De Ville, the five-time JUNO nominee has maintained a relentless touring schedule while enjoying chart success with the singles “Kinda Complicated,” “Ripple Effect” and the gold-certified “PDA.”
Most recently, Scott toured the U.S. opening for Dean Lewis. His latest song, "Everything Sucks," was written during a difficult time when Scott was trying to find a song that could help lift his spirits, while simultaneously justifying the experience he was going through. He couldn't find one, so he wrote one himself.
Finding his musical influences in album-focused artists like Arcade Fire, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, The Cure, Bon Iver and Paul Simon, Canadian singer-songwriter Scott Helman has established himself as one of the country’s leading young songwriters, earning himself a 2018 JUNO Award nomination as Songwriter of the Year.
Scott earned a JUNO nomination in 2020 in the prestigious Single of the Year category for "Hang Ups."
