He makes spoken word songs and the accompanying electronic music.

He takes an ironing board to his gigs. It has been mistaken for a surf board. Johannes does not surf. He holds up large signs to help annotate his narratives or reinforce the choruses and gives out personalised notes to audience members.
In 2018 his ‘Ghosts in My Attic’, about an unsuccessful attempt to clear out his loft, was voted North East song of year.
In 2019 Johannes released his debut album ‘Thrills & Bills’.
He has vowed to put out a Christmas single every year until his death.
He has had support from BBC Introducing shows in the North East and Teeside and national airplay from Tom Robinson and Gideon Coe on BBC 6 Music.
In 2020 he has a new EP in the can and is working on a concept album. He wrote the feel good hit of the summer, but his computer died and he lost everything.
