"To me, that's absolutely pure musical art when someone knows exactly what it wants to be sounding like.
I have no idea how you call that style but it's obviously folk-based, folk-progressive, I've no idea but I loved it!" Matt Black
"Marigold which was the highlight to my ears (...) The celebratory orchestral parts did remind me of The Beatles" Divide And Conquer
Guitarist, Singer-Songwriter, and Multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Byrd has been actively involved in the music industry for over a decade, both as a session musician and a member of several bands, however, he’s never become a household name over his previous work.
Growing up in the southeast countryside of Brazil, lands of waterfalls and mountains, horses and ranches, contrasting the usual tropical propaganda of Sun and sea, Gabe found his passion in his father's vinyl collection, influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, George Harrison, Yes, Rory Gallagher, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and the best that British and American rock music could offer.
Crushing borders between solid rock, psychedelic soundscapes, melodic ballads, and progressive folk, Byrd's solo work presents a fresh and unique vision that mixes passionate classic-rock, modern lyricism, and fierce guitar chops.
London based since 2015, after the debut EP 'Along the Way' mixed and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, Gabriel Byrd now releases his NEW SINGLE 'Hard to Believe' - available on Spotify and Apple Music
