Hailing from the unforgiving streets of Philadelphia, H20 Hadd was inspired by his circumstances to rap at a young age.
Born Shahad McCoy, the 17-year-old newcomer began recording in high school with a group of friends. But while the others merely saw it as a hobby, H20 (the acronym stands for Hustling For Opportunity) sharpened his skills as an MC. With rugged lyrics and melodic tones, his sound is influenced by rappers such as Meek Mill and R&B stars, Fantasia and Keyshia Cole. In 2019, he released his first single, “Back Then,” which captivates listeners with war stories about hustling over twinkling production. H20 Hadd is currently readying a slate of new material, including a much-anticipated mixtape, in 2020.
