My Music has continued to evolve as I grow. I started with Sikh devotion singing (Kirtan) like how you would hear in a temple. Then I spent 20 years learning the arts of Indian and Sikh classical music systems (Gurmat Sangeet) and fell in love with Raagas, taals and different singing styles.
Now knowing what I know and combined with the spiritual insight welling up in my mind through the spiritual giants like Baba Nanak Ji, Guru Arjan Ji, Kabir Ji, Meerabai Ji, Bulleh Shah Ji, Mother Theresa, Dalai Lama & Sadhguru. I have decided I will no longer hold back. I will not let musical rules, expectations of what devotional music is supposed to sound like and expectation from society/family/friends retrain me. I will put to my voice the current music of the world and to the music that springs forth in my heart and raises my spirits.
I hope that my inspiration will lead a new generation of artists, musicians, storytellers, healers and creatives of every sort to come forth and share their art and allow the words, experiences and insight of my spiritual giants to find resonance in the vibrations of the world today.
