The emotive and stylistically dynamic Hip-Hop artist, Altuz entered the rap game in 2010 as a music video director.
Born Dan Altuz in Long Island, New York, the rapper, songwriter, and record producer came from a struggle different than the stereo-typical narrative in Hip-Hop.
Beginning his career in 2010, Altuz edited and directed music videos for Epic Records, Ultra Music and Hollywood Records. His passion for writing Hip-Hop music was inspired by rappers Bentley Bell and Yung Kapo, after performing his first written rap verse for them on set after directing the music video for the song “Horny (Ciroc)”, which was shot in Miami, Florida.
Motivated by the energy of the industry, Altuz spent the summer / fall of 2015 writing, recording, mixing, mastering his debut album, “Motion”, a fun dynamic hip-hop album published January 1, 2016, which is accompanied by seven music videos, available on the Altuz YouTube channel.
On January 5, 2018, Altuz released his sophomore album “Daniel In The Lion’s Den”, a hard hitting hip-hop album telling uncomfortable truths about his life, ranging from the death of his father, problems with his mother who suffered from mental health issues, and the constant uprooting of his living situation.
His third, self-titled album, "Altuz" is currently in the works.
