Lilith Lane, is a songwriter, musician and producer from Melbourne, Australia. Her debut self-titled solo album was recorded at Bakehouse Studios featuring rhythm section Bill McDonald, and Peter Luscombe (Paul Kelly band, Four Hours Sleep) and guest appearances by Phil Gionfriddo (The Bowers, Jacky Winter, Justin Cusack (Black Pony Express) and Amanda Roff (Harmony, The Ukeladies and Time for Dreams).
Released in 2009 by Fuse Music this album was warmly received and earned Lane a nomination for Best Female Artist in the Age Music Awards. The follow-up, 'Gold Diamond', was based around a grand piano and string arrangements with lush vocal layering and intimate storytelling. 'Pilgrim' was recorded in Madrid, Spain with session band Guadalupe Plata and is a psychedelic blues album. Lane has recently recorded under the moniker Baxter Avalon, a synth-pop project exploring an alter-ego character who grew up in her birthplace of Geelong. Lane is a part of the Melbourne music collective Rocketship Taxi, performs sporadically in local music projects and plays with Les Yé-Yé Girls all-female french pop collective. www.rocketshiptaxi.com
