“For fans of psychedelic nights in, mad nights out” (NME)
Blushes are a 4 piece indie-RnB/Pop band based south of Milton Keynes, UK, with a mesmerising blend of male and female vocals. Taking influence from the live and groovy feel of bands like Foals and Tame Impala, with ambitious layered production, driven by intricate guitar work and synth bass.
The band have previously been discovered by NME featured in their Under The Radar programme and from this, the band were personally approached by BBC Radio 1's Phil Taggart to play their track To The Bone. The support from NME has continued by being featured in NME's 100 Artists for 2018 list and they also had a 4 page spread in the magazine.
They have also received features and support from HMV, BPI and UK Music as well as being featured on London Live, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Radio X. The band have played Standon Calling festival on the BBC Introducing stage, and supported bands such as Anteros, Spring King and Husky Loops.
Blushes’ live performance is highly praised consistently for incredible passion and energy. The band’s live set rollercoasters dynamically from bouncy pop-fuelled tracks like ‘Medusa’ and ‘To The Bone’ to intense tripped out dreamy RnB inspired moments that can be found in tracks like ‘Voices’ and ‘Cielo Rosa’. The 4 piece play off each other throughout the performance, allowing the audience to peer into the energy behind the tracks.
