At 18, he formed his band Hot Love Trio and won 2 competitions that allowed him to open concerts for well-known American artists, such as Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger of The Doors, and Robben Ford, on stages of national and international festivals.
In 2013, he won a scholarship at the Umbria Jazz Clinics to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he earned a degree in performance in 2017.
With his solo project, EMBI has been active in the live scene of Boston for 4 years, performing in clubs and festivals in Massachusetts. At the Salem Jazz Festival, he presented a show composed entirely of original music.
In 2017, Berklee College of Music produced a live version for his single “Highway”, which debuted on their official YouTube channel.
As a guitarist, EMBI has earned great appreciation in the American scene. He has played with the original all-female band of Beyoncé and well-known Gospel artists like Phil Thompson, Freda Battle and Dorothy Norwood.
His debut EP Evolution was released on April 6th, 2018 and it's available on all streaming platforms.
