His musical journey began with learning how to play the piano at only six years old.
At twelve he started DJ’ing and not long after that he started to compete in some of the bigger national DJ’ing competitions.
He won the price for best DJ in the southern part of the country three years in a row. And a year later he won first price in the national Dancetour competition.
In 2015 he started studying at the Herman Brood Academy. Here he got in contact with a lot of other musicians and started to release his own beats via a label he called ‘CMP Records’. CMP stands for ‘Custom Made Passion’. To Joshua this term perfectly describes the product he’s putting out into the world.
He’s very happy to see his music getting picked up by some of the bigger playlists, blogs, national and even international radio. Even though he chose to do this himself instead of working with a major label.
On the 23rd of february Joshua released his very first vocal single called Lock My Door . The song reached a million streams on Spotify in less than six months.
From that point on he was certain about switching from being a DJ to a vocalist.
