Frida Öhrn has this special voice you won’t forget. A voice which stands out and captures you with it’s intimate and raspy sound.
Maybe that’s why “Release Me”, with the band Oh Laura, and Frida's voice at the forefront, became a global super hit in conjunction with a SAAB commercial in 2007. Frida has also released four albums together with country and pop group Cookies ´N´ Beans, a story which began 2003 in a basement at Södermalm. They have made appearances at Melodifestivalen, at the incredible stage Dalhalla together with Rosanne Cash in July 2009 and performed at Peter Jöback’s Christmas show at Ericsson Globe. The trio has also been singing alongside Kris Kristoffersson, been on a road trip in Smokey Mountains, and performed in Nashville. Among others, she has also worked with Bo Sundström when they together interpreted Pär Lagerkvist’s toned poems on the record “Den Lyckliges Väg”. She´s been acting in the political theater “The Laramie Project” at Stadsteatern and was also a part of Peter Jöback’s show “Med hjärtat som instats” at Cirkus in Stockholm. Frida Öhrn took her first step in becoming a solo artist in 2014 when she released her debut single “What are you waiting for”. Under the name ÖHRN, she blended in a new electronic sound which she describes as a mix of Massive Attack and Björk with a euphoric, encouraging and affecting touch. Frida Öhrn also runs her own record label Eaglebrain and in 2016 she released her first solo EP “Bang Bang”.
