He got his start playing synth and touring with the electropop band, Soviet based in New York City. When the band dissolved in 2005, he abandoned music completely, moving to Southeast Asia and establishing himself there as a foreign journalist and editor. He returned to the States in 2011 and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Years later, while snorkeling in Hawai'i, he had a brief but formative encounter with an octopus, during which he was informed via a series of vivid telepathic images that he should, "transmit the music of the oceans to the stars."
Inspired by the earth’s natural realms, and especially by the creatures of the ocean, he dove back into music full bore. Newly energized by the widespread availability of modular synthesizers and samplers, he uses these tools to recreate the worlds he perceives through the prism of his experience.
He is now actively involved with mapping the underwater currents and psychic landscapes of our world, juxtaposing the hidden topography of the oceans with intergalactic maps of the collective psyche.
