From 1998-2004, he playing synth and toured with the electropop band, Soviet based in New York City. When the band dissolved in 2005, he abandoned music completely, moving to Southeast Asia and establishing himself as a foreign journalist and editor. Traveling extensively throughout the region, he devoted time and energy to the study of yoga asana, meditation, and other reflective spiritual traditions.
Returning to the States in 2011, Chris relocated to San Francisco and began making music again, newly energized by the seamless integration of semi-autonomous hardware and intelligent software programs. He now uses a variety of electronic and acoustic tools to illuminate the strange truth and unusual beauty encountered in deep self reflection.
In 2019, he released his second full length album, Subterranean Landscapes, with Constellation Tatsu. His third album, Recursive, was released in June, 2020.
