Growing up in the city of Minneapolis became very frightening for the youth and young adults. Gang violence and gun violence were rampant. As a solution to this issue Patton started a choir for his peers called Deliverance For Youth (DFY). From 2007-2014 this choir had over 500+ singers, they were involved in summer programs and eventual recorded an album.
Patton moved on to pursue a solo career and release the single “My hands Are Lifted Up” penned by Jamel Strong. The song has garnered millions of streams to-date and counting.
In 2014 Patton married his wife, Author Symone and to this union was born two beautiful daughters Ella & Zoey Patton. Busy being a family man, Patton continues to work in the ministry and remain relevant in the music industry.
The release of Patton’s album “Finally Living” was the game changer for him. This project was the first album in the history of gospel music to debut #1 from a solely independent artist on the Billboards Top Gospel Album Charts in 2016.
On the hills of that accomplishment, in 2018, Patton gets his 2nd #1 slot on the Billboards Digital Sales Chart from the cover song of Sinach’s “Way Maker”. This version resonated instantly with worshipers and gospel music lovers.
Patton is currently spending his time touring with his new album “The Best Me”.
