In her short career, Austin-based songwriter Grace Pettis has amassed bragging rights to spare. She is the winner of many of the nation’s most prestigious songwriting contests, including Kerrville New Folk Contest and NPR's Mountain Stage NewSong Contest and has received several grants from the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation.
Grace’s self-released, fan-funded studio albums have garnered praise from critics, fans, and industry alike. She's been hailed as "one of the most talented young singer-songwriters in America" (The Dallas Morning News).
Grace’s songs have been recorded by other esteemed artists, including former State Musician of Texas Sara Hickman and three-time Grammy-nominated blues artist Ruthie Foster. Ruthie Foster covered two of Grace’s songs on her spring 2017 release, "Joy Comes Back."
Grace is independently releasing an EP of new co-written songs with Calloway Ritch (who plays lead guitar in the Grace Pettis Band) titled "Blue Star in a Red Sky." Pettis and Ritch leave for a 10 city tour to support the EP this September.
Pettis is also currently planning the release of her third studio album, "A Little Noise," produced by Dan Barrett. She plays regularly with her band in Austin (Calloway Ritch on lead guitar, Kurt Rivett on bass, and Ryan Neubauer on drums) when she's not on the road. Grace also tours with lead guitar player and songwriting partner Calloway Ritch and with her songwriting trio, Nobody's Girl (with Rebecca Loebe and BettySoo).<br>
