Space March creates melodic and lyrical synthpop, which Simmons describes:
"I think of my music as a series of interconnected patterns, layered with words and ambient textures, capable of inducing a strong emotional response when combined in the right way.”
Simmons adopts a DIY ethos, creating most aspects of the musical and visual production. Although on the third Space March album 'Monumental', he collaborated with multi-platinum record producer/mixer Mark Saunders whose production credits include Erasure, Depeche Mode, A-ha, The Cure, and many others.
His debut self-titled album was ranked #1 by a critic in the Chicago Reader and Village Voice year-end music critics poll, describing the album as mixing "The Magnetic Fields, Erasure, and a dollop of Momus".
'Future Memories' is the sixth album release from Space March, and is a unique blend of classic synthpop, indie electro and dreamy synthwave.
