Chapman Stick player Andy Salvanos built a global audience through busking and selling CDs on the streets of Australia, and has a steadily growing listener base online.
Swedish-born Salvanos has also performed at events such as Adelaide Guitar Festival, The National Folk Festival, and worked as a bassist with Australia's leading indigenous songwriter Archie Roach on The Tracker (OST). In a world of sound-alikes, Andy's music occupies its own lush, harmonic space, which can be heard in a number of local and international films and projects. His original pieces range from simple melodic themes, to multi-layered soundscapes. In recent times, Andy has concentrated on working with artists from around the world. His notable releases in 2020 included the haunting Ice Fishing Alone, and collaborations such as Lily, Woodbridge, Ikara, and All the Lights. His first single for 2021 is Into the Fire with Randal L Meek. Andy is passionate about making music accessible to everyone, and continues to perform live as much as possible, including streaming on his Facebook page.
