Based in Australia, Chapman Stick player Andy Salvanos has built a global audience as a street musician, with five-figure album sales and a steadily growing listener base online.
Swedish-born Salvanos has also performed at events such as the Adelaide Guitar Festival and the National Folk Festival, and worked as a bassist with Australia's leading indigenous songwriter Archie Roach on The Tracker (OST). In a world of sound-alikes, Andy's music occupies its own lush, melodic space, and can be heard in a number of Australian and international film productions and audio-visual projects. His latest releases include the haunting Ice Fishing Alone on Yellow Rose Records, Lily with guitarist Denis Turbide, and a new collaboration with Jesse Brown called Woodbridge, which was placed on Apple Music's "Piano Chill" editorial playlist. Andy is passionate about making music accessible to everyone, and continues to perform live as much as possible in 2020, including streaming on his Facebook page.
