In collaboration with Juno-winning, noted Canadian producer/musician Greg Kavanagh, Avery started writing new songs that appeared on her second solo album, ‘Without A Little Rain’, released in April 2017. That album debuted on the iTunes Top 200 RnB Album Chart at #31.
Stylistically, that album incorporated fresh new elements, as Avery explains, “I tried to highlight my jazz vocal style, while creating a contemporary Soul sound, reminiscent of artists such as Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae and even Amy Winehouse.”
Now, one year later, Avery has released her 3rd solo project, ‘My Heart Away’. Comprised of all original music, this 3rd album further moves Avery from her Jazz roots into more mainstream Soul/RnB. The album charted on the iTunes Canada Top 200 RnB/Soul album chart at #11.
Avery's songwriting has already received media attention and airplay, across Canada and into the United States.
Avery continues to deliver winning performances across North America, including in NYC, as well as top Canadian venues. Garnering numerous awards she has also excelled on the festival circuit, including the Newport Jazz Festival, Jazz festivals across Canada, and music festivals like Riverfest Elora and Beatlefest London.
