DIRK KROLL moved from southern California to metro-Detroit at a young age with both a Sonny Rollins and an Eddie Cochran album in tow.
In no time, he fell in love with the Motown sound showcasing the power of strong vocal delivery combined with fantastic melodies. The singer-songwriter's influences include early British Pop-Rock from across the Atlantic and back, Blues, Funk, Ska and elements of Americana. Nominated for several Detroit Music Awards over the years, Kroll fronts THE DIRK KROLL BAND, a group of seasoned performers. Adding horns, keyboards, guitars and blended vocal harmonies to a genre-spanning body of work lends itself to Kroll's storied songs. New for 2018 is the ten song compilation " This Broken Play" featuring a soaring torch song, a ska-infused topical ditty and a Blues-based Rocker with some attitude.
