Chainska Brassika are an energetic eight-piece Ska Reggae band from south-east London, bringing their dulcet tones of infused, high-energy Ska rhythms, reggae rifts, riotous brass lines and sweet melodic vocals to the fore.
Audiences across the UK and beyond have enjoyed their live shows, dancing their socks off and doing the Chainska bounce! Chainksa Brassika have headlined venues/festivals from Norwich Arts Centre to Abergavenny Food Festival and Artisti in Piazza in Pennabilli, Italia to Hay Festival. The band has played historic shows at Glastonbury, Notting Hill Carnival, Valley Fest, Pig Nose Inn and Rototom Sunsplash European Reggae Festival, as well as supporting Madness on their stadium tour and Toots & the Maytals at Alexander Palace. With continuous support from their radio champion, David Rodigan MBE, Chainska Brassika's music is broadcast on BBC1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, 2 & 6, along with a BBC Maida Vale Live Session for Rodigan and their debut BBC London Robert Elms Show Live session, which featured an acoustic version of their new single, 'Simple Things ft. Frank Harper', plus an interview on London Live TV with Alicia Edwards.
