Tabitha Haly, known as Tabi, is a songwriter, singer and disability advocate based in New York City. Born with Muscular Dystrophy, Tabi started to sing to exercise her lungs and write to share how she overcomes physical and social obstacles.
Tabi's style of music spans across many genres and the common denominator is soulfulness and catchy melodies. Tabi was the opening performer at the first ever Annual NYC Disability Pride Parade in 2015 to celebrate the ADA's 25th anniversary. In 2016, Tabi had her own show at the New York Public Library titled, "A Concert on Life, Love, and Being Different". She has performed at stadiums like the Prudential Center and Brooklyn Dodgers stadium, and in 2017 her show was sold out at Rockwood Music Hall.
The launch of the I Wrote Life album in 2019 celebrated at the infamous Mercury Lounge, home to many New York City rockstars. It was produced by Russell Castiglione at Dubway Studios who has recorded Trey Songz and Norah Jones. “Producing this album was like helping her tell her story, her struggles, and her achievements to the world and that was very humbling,” said Russell Castiglione. It was master engineered by Dave McNair, who has worked on chart topping and Grammy winning albums from David Bowie to Ingrid Michaelson. “Tabi puts her life into her songs,” said Dave McNair. “It’s refreshing to hear an artist being so real in their work.”
