Summer of Blood is an abomination of what one considers a “rock band”. An amalgamation of noise, horror, and death, they exist outside the parallels of normality in a heightened state of danger and energy.
A true tour de force, bonded by years of familiar association, this beast-like outfit has an almost obsessive taste for darkness, whilst never losing their sensitivity to light. Now unveiled to the world with their first attempt at electric triumph, Grave Intentions brings us an experience of duality in the fine line between sanity and a complete nervous breakdown. And, as if to add insult to injury, another grain of salt in the open wound is their follow-up single, Rotten Fruit. Whatever their ambition, it is clear this is merely the beginning of their brutal sonic onslaught, and like lambs to lions, we will be waiting patiently in the shadows until it is too our turn to face them in the Hell they’ve created.
