Originally hailing from the Bay Area, Sonic is an innovative and formidable vocalist and creative artisan currently residing in New York City.
Sonic's soulfully versatile and dynamic sound is uniquely amplified by the fact that she is completely deaf in one ear. The name “Sonic” represents her distinctive ability to break barriers and transcend the limitations of her abilities through the gift and expression of song.
In 2015, Sonic secured a spot on The Voice Season 8, singing her way through the competition to the Top 20. Later that summer, she dropped her multifaceted mixtape WAV on SoundCloud, featuring the hit songs, “Winding Roads” and “California Dreams”. In late 2017, she released the empowering, womanist anthem, “I Can Be Lonely” on streaming platforms worldwide.
Most recently, Sonic founded her team collective, Womxyn Amplify Vibrations, as an ode to how she experiences music (through vibration). With her partner, she subsequently co-launched a highly successful Airbnb Intimate Concert experience called "Sisters Unsigned: A Concert by Women" that amplifies the voices of WOC and QTWOC artists and performers in NYC. Sonic is currently in the studio, wrapping up a much anticipated EP that will drop Summer 2018.
