James Bland met Tamara Swan by chance in late 2012. With both following their own musical endevours, they discussed the idea of doing something together.
Having tried a few gigs under 'Tamara Swan' with James as accompaniment on guitar, The Last Minute was formed. Throughout 2013, playing live would be constant as bookings were increasing and didn't leave much of a chance to consider recording. However, towards the end of the year, Tamara and James had a handful of songs ready to work on which would see the release of the first Ep 'Mixed Up' which included the single 'Guardian Angel' released in July 2014. The Ep was played on the likes of BBC Leeds, Box Radio, Phoenix Fm and BCB radio. Having continued to get their "foot in the door" to the local music circuit and beyond. It would be about 17 months till they were next in the studio. December 2015 would see the release of 'Hearts on Fire.' A one off single. It triggered a single release show which was held in Huddersfield. It was also first aired on BBC introducing in the same month. In July 2016, while promoting 'Horsforth Walk Of Art Festival' BBC radio, Tamara and James were lucky enough to play 'Hearts on Fire' live on Johnathan I'Anson's morning show. The Last Minute are currently recording their second coming Ep, among a busy schedule of gigs - occasionally getting the chance to share the stage with some great artists, such as Pete Williams (Dexy's Midnight Runners), The Dunwells, Me and Deboe, to name a few.
