A musician from a young age, Todd played the trumpet, drums, bass, and guitar. As a teenager Todd decided he wanted to play guitar for a living.
After graduating from the Musicians Institute (GIT) in Hollywood CA, Todd started recording rock instrumental demos that garnered the attention of talent scout Mike Varney of Shrapnel Records. After a few compilation releases, (the Guitarist on the Edge series and the Shrapnel release Ominous Guitarists from the Unknown) Todd released his debut “Todd Duane”. (Shrapnel SH-1088) Prior to this release Todd spent some time teaching guitar as Head of the Rock Guitar department at the American Institute of Music (AIM) in Vienna, Austria. From there he started teaching private lessons in the Twin Cities MN area. He also started playing with the local bands Touched, Common Ground and Vinyl Society. As Todd’s faith started growing he converted to Catholicism. Todd is currently working on a new release. His latest song is an all instrumental version of the popular praise song “Christ be our light”. Todd has also released Eccentricity (2003), Omnipresent (1999), Electrocution 250 Cartoon Music from Hell, an instructional DVD called “ShredOmania”, and played on various studio recordings including the band Junkyard Prophet.
