Simon Love is a Welsh-ish singer/songwriter best known for fronting '60s-influenced indie pop group the Loves, who released four full-length albums and several singles EPs from their inception in 2000 to their dissolution in 2011.
After the Loves broke up, Simon played guitar and wrote all songs (that weren't cover versions) in Knickers, who released a 7" EP on Elefant Records in 2012. After that all went to heck he started work on solo material. Simon Love's debut solo full-length, It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time, appeared on Fortuna Pop in 2015. The album was a bitter, obscenity-filled, bleakly humorous collection of ornately orchestrated pop songs about the dark side of love, relationships, and friendships. The LP lost the Welsh Music Prize 2016. He's vowed revenge on all who've crossed him ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
