I (Hobbes Duende) am a 19 year old hip-hop producer from Pittsburgh (currently spend a lot of my time in D.C.
too). Specializing in sample-based hip hop production that is heavily influenced by soul music, jazz, and other hip hop producers such as 9th Wonder, J Dilla, and Apollo Brown, I've worked on numerous instrumental projects as well as collaborations with various rappers and singers. Among these projects is the second installment in my Repurposed Radiance beat tape series that will be released February 9th of this year. Like the first volume in this series, it will be largely based around oldies soul samples and prominent drum grooves with stylistic and thematic continuity. Outside of my solo work, I'm a member of the Foreknowledge collective that is composed of several vocalists and producers, and I have worked extensively with the other members.
