Over the years, as an artist, Armstrong Ransome (formerly known as BLAX) has had a career laced with opportunities. In the fall of 2010 he moved to New York City to intern with Damon Dash at the now defunct DD172 Media Collective. There he had the opportunity to observe a record label from behind the scenes and learn from watching artist like Ski Beats and Currensy among many others. In the spring of 2016 along with Brooklyn NY rapper G.R.A.M.Z, he opened for two shows of the California run of the Flatbush Zombies “3001: A Laced Odyssey Tour”. Performing to sold out crowds at The regency Ball room (San Francisco) and The Catalyst (Santa Cruz). May 2018, Armstrong Ransome opened up for Arrested Development at the legendary House of Blues in Chicago, Ill.
Armstrong recently received an award from the Wisconsin Area Music Industry committee for “rap and hip hop artist of the year”. His music maintains a reflection of the times, all the while being a reminder of the past and a hope for a brighter future. with words he offers light to the new generation.
