Through the foundation of acoustic folk music, new perspective is achieved by weaving in other styles like ambient, post-rock, percussive guitar, and a less conventional style of songwriting.
Willow|speak is an evolving project stemming from visions of a literary and musical marriage. The idea to create a concept album spanning several records was birthed from a single scene sprouting in the mind of the writer, Hudson Quinlan. It wasn't clear at the time what it would turn out to be, but he knew the path should be followed to give life to a story: Willow|speak. The moment that was painted in his mind was of a boy and his father, deep in an ancient forest wielding untold memories, and a fate that would unravel in this boy's life and shift the tides of a world that had seemingly been abandoned by virtue.
When performed live, the songs are built and layered with looping and effects to add texture and depth. What you'll hear is much more than just a song and its singer.
