On this latest mixtape "Escape the Ordinary" He begins with poetic and expressive tracks like Last Night & No Excuses, the project involves the listener from the offset, whilst also proving deeply personal and intimate in nature – walking the line effectively between exclusivity and accessibility.
D’Antré is influenced by many of different artist from various genre's like: Arctic Monkeys, Daughtry, The Fugees, Bone Thugz N Harmony & More.
Genre-wise there’s almost a soft electronic rock vibe to some of these songs. While D’Antré 's vocals follow an R&B pathway for the most part, the music is eclectic and multi-layered enough to venture out into organic and electronic realms alike.
There’s a strong sense of individuality to much of the writing, relationship turmoil and love undoubtedly make frequent appearances, but D’Antré 's balances this well with reflection and even simple fun – such as on The Weekend; a strangely dissonant track that lays bare the retro vocal effect being utilized.
