In 2019 Rhonda returns with a record that asks questions instead of giving simple answers. The new album “You Could Be Home Now” is an intimate, rough snapshot in time that allows the eccentricity of Morricone’s or John Barry’s film scores and the dirt of Punk to shine out at the same time.
The band’s sound is borne by soul and warmth. It knows of dusty streets, foreign shadows and familiar light, it is aware of sweetness and gloom alike. “You Could Be Home Now” is an honest record that doesn’t pursue a scheme but instead grew slowly and just is what it is.
