Hi, it’s Michael here. NZCA LINES is my musical project, born out of a love for 90s RnB, synthesisers, vocal harmonies and science fiction.
The name NZCA LINES references the Nazca Lines, Peruvian geoglyphs that can only be seen from the air. I released my first EP ‘Nazca’ on Tokyo’s Big Love records in 2011, and since then have released two records, ‘NZCA/LINES’ (2012) and ‘Infinite Summer’ (2016). They’re both concept albums, the first being about a secret set of alternate magnetic poles, the second about a sexy apocalypse. Basically, though, I just love making pop music. I have also recorded with Christine and the Queens on her 2016 debut ‘Chaleur Humaine’ and her 2020 single 'People, I've been sad', as well as recording and touring with Metronomy for several albums. Since releasing Infinite Summer, I have been working on new music in London, New York and LA. My new single 'Pure Luxury' is out now.
